DIGITIZATION TRAINING IN SPLIT, CROATIA

From Saturday March 5 to Friday March 11, our colleague Pilar, adviser in the scientific-technological field, has attended the training "Using Technology in the Classroom" organized by the Maksima Training Center in Split.

As is common in mobilities, the contents worked on in the training are as important as the exchange with the colleagues of the training activities during the working time and the social meetings that take place on these days.

Regarding the contents, the course has explained in an active and participatory way the handling of Google Forms, QR codes and video editing programs to carry out digital or physical gymnasiums using QR codes as a starting point. The possibilities of Plickers to work in a similar way without the need for registration by students and in face-to-face mode have also been shown.

In other sessions Marja and Ana have taught us motivating techniques through gamification such as the Jeopardy contest format, games made up of missions with Goosechase, drag and drop panels or memory cards with Jigsawplanet, a wide variety of activities offered by Mylearningapps like puzzles, escape rooms made with them, creating stop motion movies with picpac.

We have also learned about the education system implemented in Croatia with its advantages and disadvantages. How training is carried out there in the form of networks of advisers who train by going to the areas and imparting predetermined content. Difficulties with parents regarding the performance to be obtained because the choice of the future study center depends on it. Croatia is a country that exports graduates, like Spain. Teachers there have worse economic conditions, but they are allowed to combine with other activities. But without a doubt, the human dimension, sharing the difficulties and projects that each one of us carries out in our centers, with our different cultures, but so similar when it comes to working on learning, is the intrinsic characteristic of these Erasmusplus experiences.
